A 34-year-old Raiwaqa man is currently in custody following the seizure of plants believed to be marijuana.
Police say the suspect was travelling in a taxi on Thursday and following information received, the Police Narcotics team managed to intercept and seize more than 100 green plants believed to be marijuana that was kept in a garbage bag.
The plants have been sent for analysis.
The taxi driver was also questioned and released.
Police say they are thankful to those who provided information that successfully led to the arrest and all information received will be treated confidentially.
