Education Minister Aseri Radrodro

Education Minister, Aseri Radrodro stresses that the Year 9 enrolment levy imposed by MGM High School is voluntary and not compulsory.

This is after Opposition MP Alvick Maharaj questioned Radrodro in parliament if anything will be done regarding this issue.

Opposition MP, Hem Chand also asked how the Ministry will ensure that the school heads adhere to the criteria and that the enrolment is carried out fairly, without favouritism, so that the deserving students are enrolled.

Responding to this, Radrodro says the process that they have now introduced promotes inclusiveness, equity and fairness in terms of the selection of students into government schools.
