SODELPA MP, Salote Radrodro

SODELPA MP, Salote Radrodro has called on the Government parliamentary members to tune in to the live parliamentary feed and see the viewers colourful emojis expressing mostly negative emotions when Government members speak.

While opposing 2021/2022 National Budget, Radrodro also questioned whether Fiji really has a good captain and a good Prime Minister.

Radrodro then stated this budget is the same old and full of false promises. She says there are no new innovative or creative ideas.

The SODELPA MP says the chaotic situation where COVID-19 is spinning out of control and the accompanying daily struggles of the people is the biggest performance indicator that the FijiFirst Government and its leadership has failed Fiji.

Radrodro adds that while they are pro-vaccination, the no jab and various attached conditions as highlighted in the National Budget are seen by the majority is a threat, and discriminatory which is tantamount to the most serious failure of leadership.

She has also questioned why the $200 million unemployment benefit is held under requisition when it should be easily made available to Ministries so that people could easily access these benefits.

Radrodro further says people are told to isolate at home for 14 days with no clear advice on what kind of help will be given to them. She says the one-off food ration, cash grant of $90 and $50 are unrealistically very small.

Meanwhile, Radrodro has also questioned the Prime Minister and Minister for Health as to why COVID-19 press conferences are not being held.
