Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team coach, Gareth Baber has termed the inclusion of Semi Radradra and Josua Tuisova in the final squad to play in the London 7s this weekend as “a breath of fresh air".
Radradra and 2016 Olympic Gold medallist, Tuisova have been included in the team while the majority of the team who have been playing in the World 7s Series and recently won the Singapore 7s have been retained by Baber.
Due to the intense competition for places in the team, Alasio Naduva has been named as the 13th player to be on standby.
The Fiji Airways 7s team is currently leading the HSBC World 7s Series points table, with 145 points and South Africa is in second place with 141 points.
Baber says that Radradra and Tuisova’s inclusion in the camp made selection very difficult.
He adds that Mesulame Kunavula was suffering from minor hamstring injuries and was not considered for selection.
Baber says they respect the other teams in their pool and are ready to do their best.
The final squad include Sevuloni Mocenacagi, Josua Vakurunabili, Kalione Nasoko, Paula Dranisinukula, Semi Radradra, Jasa Veremalua, Josua Tuisova, Vatemo Ravouvou, Jerry Tuwai (c), Waisea Nacuqu, Eroni Sau and Amenoni Nasilasila.
Fiji’s first pool match of the London 7s will be against Argentina at 10.20 tonight.

The national side will take on Scotland in their second pool match at 1.26am tomorrow and then face New Zealand at 4.32am tomorrow in their final pool match.
