Professor Prasad denies rumours of applying for USP Vice Chancellor role

Member of Parliament and leader of the National Federation Party, Professor Biman Prasad says rumours circulating on social media claiming he has applied for the USP Vice-Chancellor position are fake.

Professor Prasad says bloggers, “fakers,” and “some of those deranged lunatics” can spread all kinds of rumours.

He says he is focused on delivering for the people of Fiji, as he has always done both in opposition and in government.

When asked for an update from the party as the country heads toward next year’s election, Professor Prasad says they will contest again and are working on the things they need to prepare.

He adds that their advertisement for candidates for the next election will be released this month.
