Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has won bronze in the Men’s Masters Shot Put (M65+) at the 2024 Oceania Athletics Championship held at the HFC Bank Stadium.

Rabuka threw a distance of 7.09 metres.

Rabuka in his facebook page posted that it was indeed a morale booster for him, and even at 75 years, he hopes to inspire the younger generation to develop a habit of keeping fit and staying healthy.

He says he is glad to have the support of his wife, Suluweti Rabuka, his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who watched on the sidelines while he participated in the competition.

He also thanked his family for the support.

Rabuka also conveyed his best wishes to all the athletes competing in the Championships, which finishes this weekend.
