Fijians living in Australia have been commended for their continuous support and contribution to the development of the Fijian economy.

While speaking at the Fiji Business and Investor Talanoa Cocktail in Sydney, Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka acknowledged the immense contribution that the Fijian community has made in Australia, and they look to our diaspora in Australia and around the world to bring their newfound ideas, knowledge and expertise back home to Fiji.

He reminded those in attendance that no matter where they go or what they do, Fiji will always be their home.

Rabuka also emphasised that the People’s Coalition Government is committed to removing barriers for former Fijian citizens, particularly when it comes to investments and the ease of doing business.

The Prime Minister also highlighted about the new era of cooperation in further strengthening our people-to-people links and enduring bilateral partnership, which provides a strong foundation for enhancing economic cooperation, defence and security and developing trade and investment ties.

He says we enjoy and respect your contribution to the development of Fiji, and he hopes they will all be positive contributors to this great land.

The event was also attended by some investors who have greatly invested in the Fiji market.
