Rabbitohs to face Panthers in NRL semifinals after 38-24 comeback win

The South Sydney Rabbitohs will face-off with the Penrith Panthers in the second semifinal of the NRL next Saturday after defeating the Parramatta Eels 38-24 last night.

The Eels started the match on a high note scoring three tries within 5 minutes to give them an 18-8 lead at the break.

The Rabbitohs scored only one try in the first half through Jaxson Paulo but put on the pedal in the second half where they scored five unanswered tries through Liam Knight, Cameron Murray, Bayley Sironen, Paulo and Damien Cook.

Meanwhile, Storm and the Panthers had the week off after winning in week one.

Melbourne Storm will face the Canberra Raiders at 8.50pm next Friday at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane in the first semifinal while the Panthers will take on the Rabbitohs at 8.50pm next Saturday at Sydney’s ANZ Stadium in the second semifinal.
