RKS blue ribbon winner Navitalai dedicates win to RKS U-18 rugby team in Japan

Ratu Kadavulevu School golden boy, Samuela Navitalai has dedicated his win in the Blue Ribbon Senior Boys Final to the RKS Under-18 rugby team which is currently on tour in Japan.

Navitalai says the win is also for the school and the Old Boys, the parents and guardians of the school and the students.

The Tailevu sprinter says it was an absolute honour to win the gold for the school after a long time and he hopes it will boost their confidence going into today and tomorrow.

He says the struggles they endured in school was a collective one, and they managed to push through the struggles of every day life to win and he acknowledged the Almighty for being their source of strength.

Navitalai is aiming to win the 200 metres title tomorrow.

The 800 metres heats start at 9.30am today, the 4x100 metres heats start at 12.30pm, the 400 metres finals start at 3pm, and the 4x100 metres finals start at 4.15pm.

The Intermediate Boys Javelin, Intermediate Girls Discus and Sub Junior Boys High Jump start at 8.45am this morning.
