The relationship between the Republic of Fiji Military Forces and its Coalition Government is healthy and sustainable, it is here for Fiji's future and there is no reason for you to worry.

This assurance was given by the Minister for Home Affairs Pio Tikoduadua while speaking at National Federation Party’s Annual General Meeting in Sigatoka where he says they are the longest Coalition Government in Fiji and the reason in the past why any government did not go beyond the time that we have been in power is because the military always came and did a coup.

Tikoduadua says one of the greatest achievement as a Coalition Government is to be able to build confidence in the RFMF which means that they are not confrontational and are factual.

He further says they are not a thug government and they removed those people who were.

The Minister says for those who still want to exert their political will over the RFMF can go somewhere else because it is not going to take forward their political will.

He says the first eight months going into the first year of the survival of the Coalition Government was not easy and it is not easy trying to rebuild and build confidence but they managed through that.

Tikoduadua says they have a successful two years that they are looking forward to and their main objective is to come back into power at the end of that as the coalition as they are.
