Quick response from Police leads to arrest in Wairua robbery

A man who was allegedly involved in an aggravated robbery case in Wairua, Tamavua is in Police custody after quick response by officers within the Southern Division led to the arrest.

Police say at around 1pm yesterday, a report was received that two men had robbed a victim at the Wairua roundabout before fleeing in the victim's car.

A team was formed and were able to quickly locate the vehicle in Tacirua, where one of the suspects was arrested and recoveries made.

Police are pursuing the second suspect and the investigation continues.
