Drivers are to utilise the detour route from Natabua Road & Wairabetia Road

The Queens Highway at the Velovelo Bridge in Lautoka will be closed from tonight until Tuesday 22nd February 2022 to undertake road approach construction works for the new bridge however drivers are advised to utilise the detour route from Natabua Road and Wairabetia Road.

Fiji Roads Authority CEO Kamal Prasad says the planned road closure will be implemented from 10.30pm to 4.30am daily to allow the FRA contractor to safely carry out the necessary works.

Prasad says appropriate temporary traffic management will be set-up and managed by site personnel.

He is requesting drivers to plan their travel accordingly and follow all posted signage and speed limits when passing through subject location.
