Defending Vodafone Super Deans Under 18 champions QVS, and RKS, Grammar, Marist, Cuvu College and Natabua High have been confirmed for U18 Deans National quarter finals.

QVS are also on track to defend their Vodafone Eastern Zone Secondary Schools Rugby title after making it to the finals this week.

They defeated Lelean Memorial School 24-13 in the semi finals to book a showdown against old rival Ratu Kadavulevu School, who thrashed Tailevu North College 45-18.

QVS beat Nasinu Secondary School 27-13 in last year’s national final.

According to Biu Colati, the Vice President of the Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby Union, all teams playing in the Southern, Eastern and Western Secondary Schools Rugby finals this week have confirmed their places in the national quarter finals.

He says this week’s finals will determine the ranking of each team in their divisions, so they can formulate the fixtures for the national quarter finals in two weeks' time.

When asked about the northern division schools, Colati says the first and second teams will face off with the third-placed teams from the Southern and Eastern divisions in a playoff next week.

He says if the northern teams win their play-offs next week, they will enter the national quarterfinals as the third-placed teams from the Southern and Eastern Zones.

Looking at the U18 divisional finals this week, Grammar will take on Marist in the Southern Zone, QVS will face RKS in the Eastern Zone, and Cuvu College will meet Natabua High School in the Western Zone.
