Argentina has defeated Scotland at Murrayfield for the first time in 16 years after coming back from a scoreless first half to a 33-24 victory.

The Scottish side started strongly with two converted tries in the first half to hooker Ewan Ashman and Jack Dempsey to lead 14-0 at the break.

Ashman scored his second try just minutes after the second half started to extend Scotland’s lead to 21-0.

Argentina rallied in the second half and scored five tries.

Pedro Rubiolo crossed the try line in the 69th minute and then Pablo Matera extended their lead in the 74th minute.

Justo Piccardo sealed Argentina’s win, scoring another try in the 78th minute.

Argentina will now focus on their next match against England at 4.10am next Monday, while Scotland will take on Tonga at 1.40am
