Public frustration grows over malfunctioning Vodafone e-ticketing machines

Members of the public have raised concerns about the new Vodafone e-ticketing machines, which are reportedly malfunctioning and causing frustration among passengers.

A frustrated passenger, who wished to remain anonymous, told fijivillage News that issues such as card scanning errors, machine breakdowns and processing delays are disrupting travel, particularly during peak hours.

He says some machines reject valid e-cards, forcing passengers to abandon their travel plans.

Daily commuters are calling for immediate action to address these glitches, improve system reliability, and ensure better maintenance and customer support from Vodafone and transport authorities.

fijivillage News has reached out to Vodafone Fiji, Land Transport Authority and the Fiji Bus Operators Association for comments, but they have yet to respond.
