The Proposed ‘People First’ has submitted its application for registration to the Registrar of Political Parties, Ana Mataiciwa.
Mataiciwa confirms that the FEO is now preparing to publish the party’s application in a newspaper and in the Gazette, as required under the Political Parties Act.
Once the publication is made, the objections period will officially open.
Following the completion of this process, the proposed political party will be advised on whether its application for registration has been approved or rejected.
The decision will be made after a thorough compliance check with all requirements set out in the Act.
It was confirmed in March that 14 Proposed Political Parties had reserved their party names as the Proposed Fiji Constitution Conservative Party, the Proposed Liberation of Fiji Party, the Proposed Hearts with Vision, the Proposed Cornerstone Vision Party, the Proposed One United Republican (OUR), the Proposed One People's Party, the Proposed Fijians First Party, the Proposed Servant of All Party (SOAP), the Proposed Solidarity Fiji, the Proposed NextGen Alliance Fiji, the Proposed People First, the Proposed Fijian National Congress, the Proposed National Greens Party, and the Proposed Kingdom Fiji.
