The commemoration of the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday is a significant observance in Islam and it is time for Muslims to reflect on the Prophet’s teachings, virtues, and the impact of his life on the world.

During an interview with fijivillage News, Musharat Sidiqa, a resident of Vuci South, says this day serves as an opportunity for spiritual renewal, gratitude and reaffirmation of faith.

Sidiqa says the lessons from Prophet Muhammad's life include compassion, honesty, patience and justice.

She says these teachings are applicable to daily life by encouraging individuals to act with integrity, show kindness to others, and seek fairness in their interactions.

She adds for families, these lessons can foster a supportive and harmonious environment, guiding personal behavior and family relationships.

Sidiqa says on Prophet Muhammad’s birthday, families often engage in activities such as reciting the Quran, attending special prayers or sermons, and organizing community gatherings to discuss the Prophet's teachings.

She says some may also take part in charitable activities and share meals with friends and family to celebrate and honor the occasion.
