Nine contestants are confirmed to take part in the 2025 Miss Fiji Pageant from next Wednesday and Saturday and Promoting Online Safety – “Think Before You Click” is the theme.

This morning, contestants picked their research topics and stage line-up at the Ministry of Local Government office.

Pageant Director Ana Tuiketei says the contestants must select their topics at least seven days before the competition.

She says that the topics range from gender, sports, development to tourism.

Tuiketei adds that each contestant presents their research to the judges next Wednesday, who then ask two questions on their topic.

The queens also have their photos taken for the Miss Internet Fiji category.

Tuiketei confirms nine contestants are now in the race, with Miss Korovou joining Miss Nasinu, Miss Tavua, Miss Suva, Miss Rakiraki, Miss Nausori, Miss Nadi, Miss Lautoka, and Miss Labasa.

Miss Fiji 2019 Jessica Fong says being at today’s selection process brings back memories of her own pageant journey.

She encourages contestants to start their research early to reduce stress and feel confident.

Fong also calls on the public to support their municipal queens, saying the pageant is an opportunity to bring communities together.

The pageant will run from next Wednesday to Saturday at the Suva Civic Centre.

Tickets are available on Ticketmax.
