Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Professor Biman Prasad initiated a series of site visits across the Western division to boost effective national planning and to ensure seamless alignment with the nation's financial strategies.

The aim for these visits is to have close collaborations between the Ministry and various stakeholders for continuous assessment of their needs and the efficiency of delivered initiatives.

It also serves as a proactive approach to discovering requirements and challenges faced by the stakeholders.

Professor Prasad engaged with the key stakeholders to gain insights into their operations, resource utilisation, and implementation processes.

The Minister of Finance will also assess the current projects and initiatives underway that will help in identifying potential areas for more financial support, targeted investments or strategic reallocation of resources.

Professor Prasad visited the Nacocolevu Training Centre, Nawaicoba Research Station, Nagado Package Water Treatment Plant and Tuvatu Gold Mine.

The Minister will continue his site visits today.
