The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Professor Biman Prasad, took some time-out from his busy schedule to visit the patients from the Balevuto community in Ba who were affected by the recent diarrheal disease outbreak.

While visiting the Ba Hospital during his site visit in the Western Division, Professor Prasad was briefed on the progress of the new Ba Hospital by representatives from the Ministry of Health and the ASPEN project team.

He also met patients from the Balevuto community and engaged with them to understand their experiences, the quality of healthcare received, and any challenges they faced during the outbreak.

The Deputy Prime Minister expressed his sympathies and reaffirmed the government's commitment to strengthening healthcare systems and preventing such occurrences in the future.
