131st Fiji Principals Association Conference

School heads are in a position to influence both teachers and students, shaping the future of generations to come.

While speaking at the closing of the 131st Fiji Principals Association Conference, Minister for Education Aseri Radrodro reminded school principals that those in leadership positions are expected to understand their roles and responsibilities as heads of schools.

Radrodro says closely monitoring the school and its staff provides an overview of the professional development needed and this includes support for vice principals, assistant principals, heads of departments, teachers, and ancillary staff, ensuring opportunities to address gaps in teaching and learning.

He also highlighted the need for principals to actively engage in curriculum implementation and enhance their data literacy skills to analyze trends, measure school effectiveness, and implement context-specific Ministry of Education policies.
