The Fiji Water Flying Fijians will not be relying on their win against Australia in the Rugby World Cup in 2023 ahead of the test match against the Wallabies in Newcastle this Sunday.

Coach Mick Byrne says their previous victory against the Wallabies does not matter, and the players need to continue to grow their game in terms of playing the first 60 minutes clinically and the remaining 20 minutes openly.

He is reminding the players that as Fiji presents itself in the tier one category, the players should know the task ahead and present themselves in the best possible shape ahead of the test match against the Wallabies in Newcastle this Sunday.

Byrne says the players know what is expected this week, and the focus has been on aligning everyone with the same game plan to bring energy and cohesion into the camp.

The Flying Fijians will face the Wallabies at 3.30pm this Sunday at the Newcastle International Sports Centre.

They will then take on Scotland next Saturday at 3pm at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
