Preliminary figures for pre-polling stands at 69.63%

The voter turnout preliminary figures stands at 69.63 percent, and the Fijian Elections Office is yet to confirm actual figures based on reports by the Presiding Officers.

Supervisor of Elections, Mohammed Saneem says based on the preliminary figures, 54,244 of the 77,907 registered voters have turned out to vote.

Saneem says all 613 pre-poll venues have concluded and based on that, the FEO will be ready to start the counting from the 14th of December.

He says by tomorrow afternoon the FEO will be bringing all pre-polling materials to the Central Division processing centre which is outside the Vodafone Arena.

He says there are 606,092 voters registered to vote on elections day.
