Chief Executive Officer Kamal Prasad

Kamal Prasad has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Fiji Roads Authority for a 3-year term.

FRA Board Chairman, Ariff Ali says the Board was confident with Prasad’s appointment following his performance as Acting CEO where he not only demonstrated technical competence in strategizing FRA’s forward works and periodic/routine maintenance programmes, but also displayed strong leadership skills.

Prasad has approximately 20 years of local and international industry experience in construction, design, geotechnical investigation, environmental assessment, contract management, asset management, traffic management, project management and disaster management of civil and structural infrastructure projects.

He was recruited as a senior engineer by FRA after working 15 years in the United Kingdom and Australia.

Prasad progressed further in his career at FRA assuming the portfolio manager role for multilateral bank loan funded projects. He was later promoted to General Manager Delivery West.

The CEO’s position was vacated in October 2020 by Jonathan Moore upon completion of his contract tenure.
