Portia Woodman-Wickliffe will complete her retirement U-turn when playing her first test for the Black Ferns in more than two years tomorrow.

The legendary winger will start on the right wing when the world champions face world No. 2 Canada in the Pacific Four Series in Christchurch.

Stuff.co.nz reports that it will be her first test since she was knocked out in the first half of their epic 2022 World Cup final win against England at Eden Park.

The 33-year-old stepped away from the international game after collecting her second Olympic gold in sevens in last year’s Paris Games.

The record try-scorer in World Cup history, with 20, she has scored a whopping 38 tries in 24 tests since 2013 and has only played for the Black Ferns intermittently because of her sevens commitment.

The Black Ferns will play Canada at 3.35pm tomorrow.
