Pools for Cape Town 7s are out, fixtures to be confirmed

The Pools for the upcoming Cape Town 7s this weekend has been released and the Fiji Airways Fiji Men’s 7s side is in pool B alongside Dubai 7s cup finalist Argentina, France and Spain.

In Pool A, Dubai 7s winners South Africa will be up against Ireland, the USA and Great Britain while New Zealand heads Pool C alongside Samoa, Australia and Canada.

In the Women’s category, the Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s side is in Pool A with Dubai 7s Women’s winners Australia, Japan and Spain.

New Zealand is in Pool B alongside Ireland Brazil and Great Britain while France is in Pool C with Canada, the USA and South Africa.

Meanwhile, in the current standings of the 2023-2024 HSBC SVNS Series, Fiji is in fourth place with 14 points in the men’s division while the Fijiana 7s side is in 5th place with 12 points in the women’s division.

South Africa is leading the men’s table with 20 points followed by Argentina with 18 points while New Zealand is third with 16 points.

Australia leads the women’s table with 20 points, NZ is in second place with 18 points and France is in third place with 16 points.

The fixtures of the Cape Town 7s this weekend are yet to be confirmed.
