Leadership in politics is about the practice of politics, and politics based on hate or envy is a complete waste of time.
This has been highlighted by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Professor Biman Prasad while speaking to participants of the Leadership Fiji Executive Program at the Holiday Inn in Suva today.
Professor Prasad says that the practice of politics is just as important as the formulation and implementation of economic and social policies.
He says it is also just as vital as the work done in organisations, whether in human resources, daily operations, tactical decisions, or strategic management.
He adds that the fundamental principles behind organisational management are rooted in the practice of leadership, including within government.
