Police is urging people to report incidents of drunkards loitering in public places so that necessary actions can be pursued immediately.

This comes as concerns are being raised by residents of Makoi regarding people drinking alcohol and urinating behind Hansons Supermarket.

People had also raised concerns about drunkards standing beside the RARS Supermarket entrance and asking for money and abusing people on Sunday night.

While responding to questions regarding drunkards in Makoi, Police say the area is regularly patrolled by foot and mobile whereby even those loitering are searched and warned to clear the area.

They say the officers attended to the location when they received the report over the weekend but it was clear.

If you see drunkards loitering in public places then please report to the nearest police station or Crime Stoppers on 919.
