Acting Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu has stressed that wearing the police uniform does not give them absolute powers to do whatever they want.

While speaking to the 259 officers during their passing out parade, Tudravu has revealed that some officers within the Fiji Police Force are full of pride and do not respect the uniform.

He says Fijians who come to them see police officers as a beacon of hope and this is where service delivery comes into play.

Tudravu has reminded the new officers to never forget the reason for their existence which is to serve with the best of their abilities.

The Acting Police Commissioner says he is serious when he talks about customer service and members of the public must see them as enforcers of the law and officers must abide by it.
