Police will continue to patrol picnic spots around the country as part of its awareness of safety.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations Livai Driu says Police Officers are there in numbers in different picnic spot areas.

ACP Driu is calling on everyone to practice safety while going out for a swim.

He says close supervision of children should be the top priority at all times, while enjoying these spots.

He adds many tend to get distracted while in picnic areas and children wander about unsupervised.

ACP Driu says as much as he wanted members of the community to enjoy their celebrations, he stressed that safety should be their top priority.
