The Fiji Police Force has submitted a proposal on the review of nightclub opening hours in special zones to the Minister for Home Affairs and Immigration, Pio Tikoduadua.

Chief Operations Officer ACP Livai Driu has confirmed this after questions raised by fijivillage News on whether the nightclub operating hours should be reviewed.

ACP Driu says they will await whatever decision is made.

People say there have been many reports of robberies and attacks at night – and the main targets are those coming out of nightclubs and bars.

Many of these cases are not being reported to Police.

Police will not reveal the details of their proposal to the Minister at this stage.
