Four Fijians were hosted for morning tea by the Fiji Police Force after they helped Police apprehend three men who were allegedly involved in a case of aggravated robbery and theft.

Mosese Lomani, Isikeli Teu, Virimi Lomasalato and Mereoni Aditonawa’s selfless acts made the work of police easier.

Police say 57-year-old Mereoni Aditonawa from Kadavu had witnessed one of the accused fleeing the alleged crime scene and she called for help after which Lomani, Teu and Lomasalato pursued the suspects, apprehended them and handed them over to Police.

The three men were allegedly involved in robbing a 31-year-old manager as they forcefully opened his car and allegedly stole a bag after the manager had pulled over to the side of Ratu Dovi Road to check on his daughter who was crying.

Divisional Manager Community Policing South, Superintendent of Police Tevita Ranacika relayed the Police Commissioner’s appreciation for their brave actions.

He told them that they are heroes for standing up for what is right.

Ranacika also told them that they could have easily ignored what was happening in front of them, but they chose to help and Police are truly grateful.
