Rakiraki Police are investigating an alleged case of rape whereby the victim is a 2 year old child.
Police say the alleged incident occurred at the victim's village on Thursday.
They say the victim was playing outside her home when the alleged incident occurred and investigators are trying to establish the identity of the suspect.
The matter was reported to Police by the victim's mother.
