An investigation is underway to gather more information regarding allegations of unknown persons trying to forcefully inject a minor with illicit drugs earlier this week.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Crime Mesake Waqa has directed the Crime Officer Nausori to lead the investigation team.

It is alleged that the victim while taking his usual shortcut home through the Nausori tunnel was approached by two people with a needle, forcing him to use it, but were disturbed by a group of people.

Police say investigations are ongoing and they also urge anyone who may have information regarding any suspicious movement of people on the afternoon of Tuesday 22nd of April 2025 between 4-5pm to call Crimestoppers on 919.
