Police have successfully defended the Vodafone Ratu Sukuna Bowl Rugby title after defeating Army 26-10 this afternoon at Subrail Park in Labasa.
Police have also created history as the first team to win the title in Vanua Levu.
Police started strong, scoring a try and converting two penalties to lead 13-10 at halftime.
There was a lot of tension in the second half as both teams tried their best to deliver for their organisations.
Police centre Akuila Dranivotua scored a try in the 48th minute to extend their lead to 20-10.
Flyhalf Etonia Rokotuisawa converted another two penalties to seal their win against Army.
Meanwhile, Army Women defeated Police 25-23 to claim the Ratu Sukuna Bowl Women’s Rugby title.
