Police have successfully defended the Vodafone Ratu Sukuna Bowl Rugby title after defeating Army 26-10 this afternoon at Subrail Park in Labasa.

Police have also created history as the first team to win the title in Vanua Levu.

Police started strong, scoring a try and converting two penalties to lead 13-10 at halftime.

There was a lot of tension in the second half as both teams tried their best to deliver for their organisations.

Police centre Akuila Dranivotua scored a try in the 48th minute to extend their lead to 20-10.

Flyhalf Etonia Rokotuisawa converted another two penalties to seal their win against Army.

Meanwhile, Army Women defeated Police 25-23 to claim the Ratu Sukuna Bowl Women’s Rugby title.
