Police and NFA investigate the cause of fire at Ba Central Arcade and Tappoos Warehouse in Raiwaqa

Police say the joint investigations with the National Fire Authority into two separate fire cases last night are underway.

Police say the joint investigations with the National Fire Authority into two separate fire cases last night are underway.

The first report of fire was received at the Ba Police Station before 8pm last night.

A security officer rang and notified Police of a fire at the Ba Central Market Arcade where 8 shops were destroyed.

Police say the fire is believed to have started on the second floor, however this is subject to investigations.

The second case of fire was reported at the Raiwaqa Police Station after 11pm last night.

NFA and Police officers attended to the scene at the Tappoos Warehouse, Carpenter's St, Raiwai.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
