Semifinal spots confirmed in the Marist 7s

Police White team at the Marist 7s.

Police White, FDS Barbarians, Police Blue and Tabadamu 1 are through to the semifinals of the 44th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s at the ANZ Stadium.

Police White will face FDS Barbarians while defending champion Police Blue will take on Tabadamu 1 in the semifinals at 4 pm.

The main cup final is at 6.45 tonight.

1st quarterfinal

Police White was the first team to secure their spot in the cup semifinals.

The tournament's top-ranked team defeated Wardens Gold 24-5.

The tries for Police White were scored by Livai Ikanikoda, Rusiate Nasove and Samisoni Viriviri.

2nd quarterfinal

FDS Barbarians is the second team through to the semifinals after beating Kombat Uluinakau 22-7 in the second quarterfinal.

FDS Barbarians has the services of Jerry Tuwai, Napolioni Bolaca, Pio Tuwai and Jiuta Wainiqolo.

3rd quarterfinal

Defending champion Police Blue are through to the semifinals after beating Eastern Saints 10-5.

Police Blue lost their first game in the tournament and had to fight back through the elimination rounds for a place in the quarters.

They came back strongly in the second half to beat Eastern Saints who led 5-nil at halftime.

4th quarterfinal

Tabadamu 1 edged Raiwasa Taveuni 22-21.
