Chief Operations Officer, ACP, Abdul Khan

Chief Operations Officer, ACP, Abdul Khan says they are connected to all 5 police divisions from the Election Command Coordination Centre in Suva to ease the operations of elections and support the Fijian Elections Office.

He says if there is an incident that is reported, they can quickly coordinate from their Command Centre.

ACP Khan says they are also hooked up to about 78 CCTV cameras which are being monitored and recorded, from the National Count Centre to the FEO Warehouse in Bulei Road.

He says they also have body-cams used by their Police officers and they can get a live feed from the ground to assess the situation.

The Chief Operations Officer says this Command Centre is where things are coordinated on elections operations, while at Totogo they have the Police Command Coordination Centre where they take care of the routine operations.

He says if you have noticed in the last few days the routine operations are continuing as well as the quick response to serious aggravated robbery and the arrests that have been done.

ACP Khan says they want to thank the community as well for their support to the Police Force.
