FIJI Water Flying Fijians captain Tevita Ikanivere has expressed his excitement and confidence during the team’s captain’s run ahead of their much-anticipated clash against Tonga tomorrow.

Ikanivere says the mood in camp is positive, with high energy and enthusiasm after two weeks of intense preparation, the players are eager to take the field.

He acknowledged that Tonga will bring a physical game, but assured fans that his team is ready for the challenge.

Bristol Bears powerhouse and loose forward Viliame Mata is also looking forward to the match and has been motivating the younger players to step up and seize the moment.

Mata says he has been encouraging the boys to enjoy themselves and play with heart.

He says that Tonga already has a win under their belt and expects them to be tough opponents.

Mata also called on the public to come out in full force to support the team.

Fiji plays Tonga at 3pm tomorrow at the HFC Bank Stadium in round 2 of the Asahi Super Dry Pacific Nations Cup.
