Planned power outage for parts of West this Sunday

Thousands of people residing between Sarava, Ba and Navesau in Ra will be without power supply this Sunday as Energy Fiji Limited will be carrying out maintenance work on the 33,000 volt transmission line between Vuda and Ba.

CEO, Hasmukh Patel says the maintenance work is urgent and if not done, it can lead to many unplanned power outages.

Patel says they have a small power station in Rakiraki which will be used to provide power to Rakiraki Hospital and town area.
