David Del Rio, known for his role in Pitch Perfect and the hit series Matlock, has been dismissed from the Matlock show following a reported allegation of sexual assault.
Daily Mail reports the actor was fired from the show after an accusation of sexual assault was made.
They report he was escorted off the set last week after the investigation occurred.
The incident is said to have involved a female actor on Matlock.
Daily Mail has reached out to a representative for the purported victim, but has not yet heard back.
The Emmy-nominated series is currently filming its second season and has already shot about half of the next season.
The show will be undergoing a pre-planned hiatus this month and in November after completion of the first half of the second season.
In Matlock, Del Rio portrayed Billy Martinez, a first-year associate working at the fictional Jacobson Moore law firm.
Matlock stars Kathy Bates and is loosely based on the legal drama by the same name starring the late Andy Griffith from 1986–1995. She plays lawyer Madeline Matlock opposite Beau Bridges and Jason Ritter.
