Magistrate Yogesh Prasad has told Tomasi Tuirabe that it is his lucky day as the buyer of a $4,000 phone that Tuirabe resold for $100 because the buyer will face the full brunt of the law while Tuirabe will get half of the sentence.

He says that if there is no receiver, then there is no crime.

Magistrate Prasad says he wants to see the person he sold it to in court on 3rd November.

Police Prosecutor Sergeant John Tupua told the court that the phone has been recovered and the receiver has been identified as well.

The alleged incident occurred on 13th June this year.
