People are being urged to come forward and assist the needy students of Saint Thomas Primary School in Lautoka who are still struggling due to the effects of COVID-19.

Vika Leger who runs a canteen in the school says she is currently providing lunch to only 20 students because she does not have money to feed all the children who are suffering.

Leger says there are many other students in the school who need assistance and teachers are identifying those who are in urgent need of help.

She provided lunch to more than 80 students last year but says she cannot do that this year because only one donor is continuing to assist her.

Leger says the parents of these children used to work in the tourism industry and have been unemployed since March last year.

You can contact Vika Leger on 8430-982 if you want to help the group in assisting the students of Saint Thomas Primary School. You can also visit our Hands Across Fiji page on fijivillage.
