People turn out in numbers for Yat Sen Annual Fun Day

People turned out in numbers for the Yat Sen Annual Fun Day at the School Grounds today to take advantage of the food, entertainment and great deals on offer.

Vice President of the Parents and Teachers Association, Thomas Morgan, told fijivillage News that the school also offers enrichment classes in Chinese language, music, advanced mathematics, and advanced English.

Morgan says these programs are not funded by the Ministry of Education, and the school relies on events like the Fun Day to raise the essential funds.

He says the event is organised with vibrant energy by the school’s various house teams and is a joyful celebration with a deeper purpose — supporting the school’s extracurricular programs.

Families enjoyed themselves as the school ground was buzzing with food stalls, drinks, entertainment, and classic games like the stick race, three-legged race, bobbing for apples, and musical chairs.

Morgan says the festive setup created a carnival-like atmosphere that kept both children and adults engaged throughout the day.

He added that the goal is not only to fund these programs but to create memorable experiences that students look forward to year after year.

The Fun Day will come to an end at 4 this afternoon.
