People living in the Northern Division that have not registered to vote can now do so as the Fijian Elections Office will be conducting a Voter Registration Drive in the North from tomorrow until the 31st of May, 2022.

Supervisor of Elections, Mohammed Saneem says they will be operating six additional venues for the duration of the drive in addition to the Voter Services Centres that are already open.

He says today was also the first possible date for the issue of the writ for the 2022 general election.

Saneem says they do not want people to wait until the very last minute to register or update their details because they might miss out.

Saneem says since applications for the unemployment benefit scheme for the North has opened from today, this will be a great time for the FEO to reach voters who did not register, update or upgrade with FEO during the Nationwide Voter Registration Drive earlier in the year.
