The people of Namosi can now look forward to the opening of a new Secondary School which will be built in Lobau Village.

While officiating at the school foundation laying ceremony for the Ratu Simione College, Tui Namosi, Ratu Suliano Matanitobua acknowledged the work of government and the people of the United Arab Emirates for funding this project.

Ratu Suliano says he is glad that all the members of the Veivatuloa Tikina Council and Namosi Provincial Council endorsed this Project.

He says this new school does not belong to the people of Lobau alone but to the entire people of Namosi, who will now have access to education in their own province.

Ratu Suliano says this is a momentous stepping stone in the right and desired direction by the Vanua of Namosi to excel further in education.

He says the school, apart from its core function of delivering education, will now become a focal point of civic education, public gathering, disaster relief centre, sporting events and large public gatherings.

Ratu Suliano also commended the landowners and all the people of Lobau Village for their consent, assistance and co-operation to allow this project to see the light of the day.
