Great news for the people in the North as healthcare facilities at the Labasa Hospital medical warehouse have been upgraded.

Minister for Health, Ratu Atonio Lalabalavu says this new medical warehouse will enable the stockpiling of high-volume medical supplies and biomedical equipment and facilitate timely distribution in the Northern Division, meeting the immediate needs of health facilities in the region.

Ratu Atonio says this project will also help their healthcare workers in the North to deliver high-quality health services that will positively impact many lives in the North from now and in years to come.

He says the ministry and the government are committed to improving health services for the people of Fiji and achieving universal health coverage for the people of Fiji through a rejuvenated primary health care approach.

He further says this new project funding cost $2.079 million from the Japan International Cooperation Agency.
