The Energy Fiji Limited is still unclear on when power will be restored to a number of areas in Samabula, Toorak and Princes Road including the Kundan Singh Supermarket area.

People in these areas do not have power from around 7am today.

Residents from these areas have told us that they also faced similar situation yesterday morning and in the evening.

Areas affected include High Street, New Maternity, Toganivalu Street, Samabula, FNU, Votua Street, LDS temple, P&T transmitter, Vodafone, Kundan Singh and Bureta Street.

The EFL says it is an unplanned outage as the High Street Feeder that supplies power to areas in Samabula, Princes Road and Toorak has tripped.

It says it may take time to rectify the problem as teams will have to check all the power lines in these areas and identify the fault.

The EFL says teams are on the ground to establish and work on the fault.
