The Fiji Women’s Crisis Centre, the Fiji Women’s Rights Movement and femLINKpacific are encouraging everyone to participate in the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence campaign by sharing information, calling out toxic masculinity, promoting gender equality and encouraging women’s participation in all spaces where their voices are heard and issues addressed.

The 16 days of activism will start from tomorrow and finish on the 10th of December which is Human Rights Day.

They say as the women’s movement and other human rights groups begin the campaign tomorrow, we need to be aware of the origins of the campaign and why it began, claiming back the space and the spotlight on the different ways violence is faced by women and girls.

They add we must ensure the space for women to share their experiences and prioritise their needs.
