Peni Sikivou has been appointed as the new Permanent Secretary for National Planning, Development and Statistic.
In a statement, Public Service Commission Chairman Luke Rokovada says Sikivou has worked in government and the Pacific Region for the past 30 years in the areas of economic and strategic planning, project planning, financial management, monitoring and evaluation.
Rokovada says Sikivou has extensive experience in the public and private sectors as well as regionally where he worked with the Melanesian Spearhead Group Secretariat in Port Villa, Vanuatu.
Sikivou is also pursuing studies for a PhD degree.
